Oklahoma City based Sonic adopted a new animal welfare policy for the restaurant.  Sonic joins a line of national restaurant chains developing animal welfare policies and receiving praise from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).

Restaurants with similar policies including Burger King, Red Robin, Wendy’s, Quiznos, Denny’s, Hardee's, and Carl’s Jr.

Most recently, HSUS has been successful in becoming a shareholder in Jack in the Box and Steak ‘n Shake.
